a. Product Descriptions
Chimurenga attempts to be as accurate as possible in its descriptions of products available for purchase. However, Chimurenga does not warrant that product descriptions or other content on this site are accurate, complete, current or error-free.

b. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
Chimurenga.co.za is provided by Chimurenga on an ‘as available’ and ‘as is’ basis. Chimurenga makes no representation or warranties of any kind as to the operation of this site or the information, content, material, or products included on this site. You agree that your
use of this site is at your sole risk.

e. PayPal
Chimurenga uses PayPal for accepting payment by credit card. PayPal is an internationally recognized payment gateway and offers a highly secure service. Chimurenga thus, does not obtain your card details, PayPal processes your payment and forwards the payment to us. You will be sent a payment confirmation email from PayPal immediately once your payment has completed successfully. For PayPal terms and conditions please visit their website www.paypal.com.

f. Payment methods
f.i) Through PayPal:
When you are checking out, and get redirected to PayPal’s web page to make payment, you have two options for making payment:
1. Proceed without joining PayPal. This option means you will enter your card details and PayPal will take Payment but not setup a PayPal account for you; OR

2. Login or setup a PayPal account

f.ii) Through other means:
Please contact us should you wish to make payments via another method.

g. Applicable law and disputes
By visiting Chimurenga.co.za you agree that the laws of South Africa will govern these Terms of Service and any dispute that might arise between you and Chimurenga. Any disputes relating to your visit to Chimurenga.co.za or to products you purchase through Chimurenga.co.za shall be submitted to arbitration in Cape Town, South Africa.

 

2) POSTAGE AND REFUNDS

a. Dispatching Chimurenga products
We dispatch goods within one week of receipt of payment.

b. Delivery methods
All goods are sent via local postal and remail services. Should you prefer alternative deliverymethods (air speeded courier), please contact us directly to place your order, confirm delivery method, and make payments.

c. Postage delivery times & traceability
Orders sent via post take up to 7 working days after dispatch to reach their destinations within South Africa. For all destinations outside of South Africa, delivery times range from 4 – 6 weeks. The postal services are semi tracable – this means, for destinations outside of South AFrica, we can track your order to the point at which it enters your National postal stream. With this service, we assume that goods have been delivered to you when we receive confirmation from our postal agents that they have entered your National postal stream.

d. Risk of Loss
We will email you after we have dispatched your goods, informing you of expected date of receipt and requesting that you confirm receipt. Lookout for our email and let us know within one month of the date upon which the email was sent if you have not received your order. Beyond one month we will find it difficult to trace your package and thus might not be able to refund or repost in the event of a lost package. Chimurenga will do all it can to trace goods suspected of being lost in the post, but the decision to repost/courier your order will be at our
discretion.

e. Refund policy
You are eligible for full refund if
- Good are damaged upon arrival*
- If you have not received your goods after 8 weeks of confirmed order and payment.

For goods to be refunded, you need to supply a written notice (via post or email) of intent with an explanation upon non-receipt of goods or within one week of receipt of damaged goods.

Chimurenga takes great care to package orders to protect them against damp and transit wear & tear. We undertake to affect your refund within one month of confirming your order to be refundable.

*damage includes: for publications water damage or tearing; clothing damage includes: stains or holes; all other damage will be considered for refund via engagement with Chimurenga Magazine: Goods are to be either posted back to us or photos of damage are to be emailed to us where by damage assessment can be done by Chimurenga. In the event of confirmed damage we undertake to resolve refunds within one month of confirming goods as damaged. Should you prefer for us to resend your order, you should let us know.

3) SUBSCRIPTIONS

Chimurenga Magazine is published on the page once or twice per year. We also produce other publications. One annual subscription gets you two Chimurenga publications.

a. Confirming your subscription
Your subscription is considered confirmed when we receive proof of payment from you or PayPal (depending on your method of payment). When paying via posted cheque, your subscription is considered confirmed once funds clear. We confirm your status as a subscriber by emailing or posting to you a confirmation of subscription letter. We confirm subscriptions within one week of receiving proof of payment.

b. Shipping your subscriber-copies
At time of releasing a new issue, we post subscriber’s copies in bulk, so effectively we post subscribers copies twice per year according to our publishing bi-cycle.

When you order an annual subscription during the course of the year, you will receive two issues separately, or both issues together, depending on where your placement of order falls in our publishing bi-cycle. So your first issue may arrive in two weeks or in as long as six
months.

If you require the first issue of your subscription as soon as possible, contact us to let us know.

c. Change of address
It is your responsibility to inform us of an anticipated change of address and to let us know your new address as soon as possible. We will not resupply goods in the event that we have been supplied by you with an incorrect or redundant address.
